BOSTON & SAN FRANCISCO, March 17, 2026 <\/strong>\u2014 Audax Private Equity (\u201cAudax\u201d), a capital partner to middle and lower middle market companies, announced today it has acquired AKAM and its subsidiaries, a provider of property management serving both residential and commercial properties. Nautic Partners is selling its stake in AKAM through the transaction, the terms of which are not disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1983, New York City-based AKAM is a property management and real estate firm that operates through three subsidiaries: AKAM, Orsid, and Metro Management. Primarily serving condominiums and cooperatives, as well as single-family homeowner associations, AKAM seeks to set the standard in property management with its Residential Intelligence business philosophy that places customers at the heart of its business. With a deep history and expertise in the New York and Florida markets, AKAM looks to cultivate thriving communities through its hospitality-driven team, rigorous operational standards, and rich service offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AKAM\u2019s existing management team, led by Chief Executive Ken Greene, will continue to lead the business, ensuring continuity for clients, employees, and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audax is investing in AKAM through its flagship private equity strategy and the investment was completed through the firm\u2019s Financial Services specialization. In addition to recent investments in payments technology provider Fortis and global technology and advisory firm Keystone, the Financial Services specialization also realized two investments in 2025, including sales of RIA CW Advisors and global advisory firm Stout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

William Blair served as lead financial advisor to AKAM and Nautic, with support from Griffin Financial Group, while Troutman Pepper Locke provided legal counsel. Baird and Brown Gibbons Lang & Co. served as financial advisors to Audax, while Ropes & Gray provided legal counsel. The transaction closed on February 27, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
